Our Business Sectors

01.

Tax Deed Auction Excess Proceeds

The proceeds from the tax sale are used to pay the redemption amount and costs associated with the defaulted taxes. Any monies remaining after the satisfaction of the tax sale are considered to be Excess Proceeds. Parties of Interest may claim the Excess Proceeds within a specified period of time varying county by county.

02.

Mortgage Foreclosure Excess Proceeds

Surplus funds, also referred to as overage or excess funds, are the funds remaining after a mortgage is paid through the final judgment of a foreclosure auction. The trustee appointed in the foreclosure auction is responsible for disbursing the funds, unlike the county in tax auctions.

03.

Bankruptcy Excess Proceeds

Excess proceeds in bankruptcy can refer to the amount of money left over after a letter of credit is used to pay what is owed, or after a property is sold in a foreclosure auction

04.

State held Unclaimed Funds

Unclaimed property is generally defined as any financial asset left inactive by its owner for a period of time, typically three to five years. The most common types of unclaimed property are: Bank accounts, mutual funds, dividends and safe deposit box contents.
